A memorial portrait for a dog or cat
A pet memorial portrait written with your own words
Upload a photo of the pet you miss and write their name, their nicknames and what you would still tell them. We draw their portrait entirely with those words, ready to frame.

A photo, your words, their portrait
Every line of the picture is a phrase you wrote. From across the room you see your pet; up close you read what they meant to you.

3The portrait

Up close, it is a letter to them
Each line of the picture is one of your phrases, repeated and fitted into the light and shade of the photo. Nothing is invented: if you wrote it, it is there.
Most people write the name, the years, a few nicknames and one or two sentences they never got to say. Some write a whole poem. Both make a good memorial pet portrait.

Questions
How is the portrait made?
You upload a photo and type your words. Our tool draws the photo line by line with those words, repeating them until the whole picture is covered, and adjusts each letter to the light and shade of the photo. From a distance you see your pet; up close you read what you wrote.
What can I write?
Anything: their name, nicknames, the years they were with you, places you went together, the things you would still tell them, a short poem. One phrase per line works best, from five to twenty lines.
Which photo works best?
A clear, well-lit photo where the face is sharp and fills most of the picture. You can crop it in the tool. Dark coats work too, though the words read best on lighter fur.
Can I put myself in the portrait?
Yes. Upload a photo of you with your pet and crop it so you both fit. The words cover the whole picture.
Is the preview free?
Yes. You can make as many previews as you like, free and without an account. The preview carries a light watermark; the printed portrait does not.
What happens to my photo?
It is used only to draw your portrait. It is not published, shown to anyone or used for anything else.
Can I order it now?
Ordering opens very soon. You can already make your portrait and see the free preview; framed prints will ship to the US, the UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.
